This is not only a magic flea market, but also a silent auction. If you were here for last years event, you know of the great bargains that were available. Plus, a good time was had by all.

Don’t miss the boat – only a few tables are left.

The silent auction rules:

This silent auction is unique - it will have two separate types of methods used to bid on items –
1.        write in bidding
2.        raffle style

There is no admission fee. Therefore, if you choose not to take part in the auction, or buy anything from the flea market tables, tonight will cost you nothing.

upon entering, you will receive a number. This number will be used by you to place a bid on any of the items up for auction in the ‘write in bidding’ part of the silent auction.

Rules for the write in bidding silent auction:
The write in bidding part of this silent auction is most like a real auction in that if you choose to bid on one of these items, you need to write your number and your bid amount , on the bidding sheet provided with the item. You will need to check the sheet periodically during the evening to see if you have been outbid, in which case you can place another bid. At the end of the night, when bidding is halted, the sheets will be gathered and the items will go to the highest bidders on the sheets. You must be present to pick up and pay for your item if you are the winning bidder. If you are not present, the next highest bidder will get the item.

Rules for the raffle style portion of the auction:
All items in the raffle style portion of the auction will have a paper bag next to the item. To bid on these items, simply drop one or more tickets into the bag. The more tickets you drop in the bag, the better your chances are of winning that item. At the end of the bidding, the bags will be thoroughly shaken and a ticket will be drawn from each bag (just like a 50-50 drawing). the winning ticket takes the item. Again, if the winning ticket holder is not present, a second ticket will be drawn.

Tickets for the raffle portion:
Tickets for the raffle portion are $1.00 each. You may purchase as many tickets as you like, but your initial ticket purchasemust be a minimum quantity of five (5) tickets. You may buy more tickets, either at that time, or at any time after your first five have been purchased, in any quantity you like. The five ticket minimum purchase only applies to your first purchase.

Time frame:
The evening will start promptly at 6:30 p.m.; at exactly 8:45 p.m., all bidding will be closed. You must be present to claim your item if you have won. Winners of the write in auction items must pay for the item at that time. Cash or checks will be accepted. No credit cards!

We realize that not everyone can make it by the 6:30 start time. That is what is so nice about this auction. If you are not there when we start, you have not missed anything bidding continues all evening on all items.

Flea market tables:
The flea market tables are a pay as you buy arrangement.
